Enrolling at CPPS
Chirnside Park Primary School is a sought after high performing public school of around 400 students that has experienced significant enrolment pressure over the last few years. Firstly, to check that Chirnside Park Primary School is your local designated neighbourhood school, please go to:
- Enter your permanent residential address under ’Enter your address to get started’
- Select the appropriate enrolment year
- Select Primary under ‘School Type’
The map will then show you your address, your local school, and on the left the contact details for the school. If you scroll down, it will also show you the five closest schools to your address. If Chirnside Park Primary School is your local school as identified via. Findmyschool.vic.gov.au then you are guaranteed a place at our wonderful school.
If you are looking at Chirnside Park Primary School as a possible choice for your child, and your child turns five by the 30th of April, then the next step is to book an enrolment tour via the form provided on this website. Once we have received your form, a member of the front office team will contact you to confirm a date and time for the tour that suits you. Tours are conducted weekly across varying days.
Tours are conducted individually by a member of the executive leadership team and usually take about 30-40 minutes. During this time you will walk the grounds and visit a number of classrooms Prep -6. We want you to get a feel for our school, and feel free to ask any questions that you may have about your child and our school to see whether it is the best fit for you and your child.
At the conclusion of the tour you will be given an information pack that complements what you have seen and heard on the tour. In this pack is an enrolment form that you will be asked to complete at your leisure and return to the school no later than Friday the 28th of July.
Once you have returned the enrolment form it will be added to the list of potential enrolments from within and outside the Chirnside Park Primary School Zone. It is important to note that you can apply for a place at a school that is not your local school. The school will consider your application in line with the Placement Policy and you will be notified of the outcome of your application in writing from the school by Friday the 11th of August. If you receive an offer of placement, you should accept the offer by Friday the 25th of August.
